Tri is a 15-room lakeside retreat on a six-acre cinnamon hill above Koggala Lake, about 15 minutes from Ahangama on the south coast. Its striking modern design is surrounded by cinnamon-covered slopes and still water. Wellness runs through the stay, from yoga in the lakeside shala to treatments in the spa. A 21-metre swimming pool looks out over the lake.
Tri is about 163 km from Bandaranaike International Airport, roughly 2 hours 15 minutes via the Southern Expressway. Galle is 22 km (45 minutes) away and Ahangama 7.5 km (15 minutes). Koggala railway station is 6.5 km away, and Koggala domestic airport 9 km. Book the Colombo (CMB) Airport transfer to Tri.
The rooms range from Tri Tower Bedrooms (25 sqm, king bed, balcony over the garden and lake) up to the Tri Villa with Plunge Pool (140 sqm), the largest. That villa has a living area, a bathtub and generous indoor and outdoor space. In between are the following:

The kitchen uses locally grown, seasonal produce to cook global dishes with a Sri Lankan twist, served à la carte from 7 am to 10:30 pm. Meals are eaten outdoors by the lake. There is a bar on site, and a social hour with sunset cocktails each evening. Packed meals can be prepared for early departures.
The hotel arranges boat rides on Koggala Lake, surf lessons at Ahangama, south-coast sunset cruises, whale and dolphin watching, a guided walking tour of Galle Fort and a cookery session with the chef. Nearby are the Koggala turtle conservation project, the Martin Wickramasinghe folk museum and the beach at Weligama. Tri hosts weddings of up to 100 guests, as well as wellness and corporate retreats.
