The Mudhouse is nestled at the foot of the majestic and mysterious Paramakanda Rock Temple and cave monastery in the ancient rural heartlands of Sri Lanka. Located near the small village of Anamaduwa and close to Wilpattu Wildlife Park, it offers a private and seductive forest retreat far away from the beaten track. The setting provides a sense of calm and tranquility, surrounded by a large expanse of forest, flanked by lakes, and blessed with abundant birdlife, wildlife, and natural beauty.

Accommodation:

The Mudhouse offers a range of rustic accommodation in private and individually designed huts spread across two separate forest clearings. The original zone features a large house with a main bedroom, a unique two-tier thatched roof hut, and a dome hut for dining. The main hut can be set up for various purposes, such as yoga and meditation, with the option to convert it into an outdoor bedroom. The newly constructed second zone includes a family hut that can be configured to suit different group sizes. Additionally, there's a hidden tree house in the forest canopy overlooking the lake, offering a unique vantage point. Accommodations are designed with an open-plan style, constructed with natural materials, and maintain a connection with the local environment. The facilities include western toilets, outdoor showers, and a lake for swimming and bathing.
