About this experience
Board your air-conditioned vehicle at your Unawatuna hotel and head east towards Yala National Park — Sri Lanka's second-largest national park and one of the world's most wildlife-dense reserves. Your English-speaking chauffeur handles the drive, so you arrive relaxed and ready to explore.
At Yala, swap to an open jeep for a three-hour safari through scrub forest and lagoons. Keep your eyes on the tree lines for leopards, watch elephants move along the reservoir banks, and spot crocodiles, peacocks, and water buffalo along the track. A one-litre bottle of mineral water is provided per person. Note that park entrance fees, meals, and gratuities are not included. The full day runs ten hours, and the tour is private — just your group, your chauffeur, and the park.
