Yala National Park Safari from Talpe

Your day starts with a hotel pickup from Talpe, then an air-conditioned vehicle transfers you south to Yala National Park — one of Sri Lanka's most celebrated wildlife reserves. At the park gate, you board a safari jeep with your English-speaking driver and tracker, who reads the terrain to locate leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and the park's rich birdlife. Keep your camera ready as the jeep pushes through scrub forest and open plains over the course of the safari. A litre of bottled mineral water is provided to keep you refreshed on the trail. The full outing runs 9 hours 30 minutes, and the private arrangement means the pace suits your group alone.

Entrance fees to Yala National Park, meals, drinks beyond the included water, and gratuities are not covered in the tour price, so bring local currency for the gate.
