One of the major attractions in Kandy is the temple of the sacred tooth relic with fine wood work and also a golden roof. The Kandy Lake which is a beautiful sight especially in the night offers enjoyable boat rides. Other attractions nearby include the gem museum, the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and also a number of temples that are of proximity to the city limits.
