Trekking in Sinharaja Rainforest

Lace up your boots and step into Sinharaja — Sri Lanka's UNESCO-listed rainforest and one of the island's last stretches of primary tropical jungle. Over six hours, your private naturalist guide leads you along forest trails, pointing out rare endemic species of birds, reptiles, and plants that exist nowhere else on earth. Raise your binoculars whenever a flash of colour moves through the canopy; Sri Lanka's endemic birds, from the red-faced malkoha to the blue magpie, are regulars here. Refreshments and energy slabs are included to keep you going.

This is a private trek, so the pace and focus stay entirely with your group. A minimum age of ten applies. Note that transport to the Sinharaja Forest Reserve trailhead is not included, so arrange your own transfer or ask Lakpura to assist with logistics before your booking date.
