Summerville Ceylon Tea Trails Bungalow, Dikoya, Hatton is one of the properties of acclaimed luxury villas of Tea Trails set in the Bogawantalawa Valley of Dikoya (Dickoya) region (altitude: 4000 feet) of Sri Lanka’s hill country that is home to endless plantations of tea. Luxury villas of Tea Trails consist of four Colonial bungalows that were once residences of the tea planters of Ceylon: Summerville; Castlereagh Tientsin; Norwood. All four bungalows offer luxury comfort in a well pampered atmosphere in the salubrious climate in the hill country of Sri Lanka.
Summerville and Castlereagh are located on the opposite banks of the Castlereagh Lake while Norwood is at the other end of the valley. While Summerville and Castlereagh can be reached by boat, Norwood is at the other end of the valley about 15 minutes away by car and Tientsin is about 30 minutes away in the next valley.
The four-roomed Summerville colonial bungalow set up on an elevation overlooking a reservoir surrounded by the tea plantations is renovated and refurbished making the best out of colonial and modern concepts of luxury living. The Tea Trail Bungalows originally built for British tea estate managers in the late colonial era of Sri Lanka offers a taste of gracious living by virtue of ever attentive butler service & immaculate authentic period furnishings, accompanied by gourmet meals.
