About Irana Villa, ChilawIrana Villa came into being when a Sri Lankan Investment Banker based in Seattle decided he needs a rustic, close to nature base at home. Bordered by the lagoon on two sides, it is minimalist, totally open, and effortlessly combines the atmosphere of a Sri Lankan fishing village with an eclectic collection of utilitarian art from around the world: toilet doors are originally from the Parisian nightclub, Lido (Le Lido de Paris) removed when it was refurbished in the 1970s. Tiles made for a palace in the Middle-East by inlay artists of Agra, carved window from a house in Rajasthan.the list can go on.
Location of Irana Villa, ChilawIrana vila is ideally located in the little village of Irana vila along the coastal road from Marawila to Chilaw. The nearest town which is Chilaw is approximately 10km away while the distance from Colombo is about 70km. The drive from Colombo takes about 2 hours while the road leading to the villa is just passing the town of Marawila. You can catch public transport along the Colombo - Puttalam motorway or rent out a vehicle directly from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake which is about 45km away.
Accommodation at Irana Villa, ChilawIrana vila consists of a main bungalow which comprises of a 2 bedroom family unit and also a 2 storey annex which is located by the river with 1 bedroom per floor. Each of these rooms includes verandas of their own along with attached modern bathrooms with hot and cold water. The family unit which is found on the 2nd floor of the main house overlooks the garden and the lagoon beyond. The master bedroom consists of an open attached bathroom with modern fittings and hot/cold water. Irana vila can easily accommodate 8 guests.

Parts of the Villa such as door frames, window carvings and tiles also derive from many parts of the world. There are 2 living area both upstairs and downstairs where guests can relax with their loved ones while the dining area is located on the ground floor. The Villa boasts of an in-house cook who will prepare sumptuous Sri Lankan and Western delights according to your request.
