The villa is the perfect holiday destination by the beach and the ideal place to explore the South. Location of Habaraduwa House, Galle

Built in 2001, the Habaraduwa House is a stunning beach side villa along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Habaraduwa which is located about 14km away from the historical city of Galle is quite convenient to reach while there are many ways to reach the city. You can drive via the Southern Expressway, the Colombo - Galle main coastal road or even take a train to the South which offers you a picturesque view. You can also hire a sea plane which has a landing jetty in Koggala which is also a short drive away from Habaraduwa. The drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake to Galle takes about 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

The Habaraduwa House consists of four bedrooms while three of them are located on the ocean side. These ocean side rooms feature double four poster beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers along with beautiful views of the ocean. Two of the bathrooms of the ocean side rooms consist of outdoor showers. The fourth bedroom includes a twin four poster bed which can be pushed to make a double. This room also features a large sitting area and a large bathroom with bath tub and shower. Off the fourth bedroom is a large terrace where you can relax and enjoy gorgeous views.

Facilities at Habaraduwa House, Galle

Offering you an extremely wide beach frontage, the Habaraduwa house is located perfectly with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. During the season, safe swimming can be enjoyed near the property. The house consists of a series of stand-alone buildings with a living room, dining pavilion (Ambalama) which is linked by a full length terrace that steps out to the pool and garden. The three ocean side rooms are located in this section. The living room is elegant and airy with French windows overlooking the pool and sea while it opens out to the terrace. Massage therapists and fitness instructors can be arranged if and when they are required. Guests can enjoy meals at the open Dining Ambalama which is very charming. The pool area consists of sun loungers where you can relax after a calm swim in the pool. The other part of the house which is separated by a wall consists of the main entrance, 4th bedroom, games room and the kitchen building. The games room which is ideal to relax and have fun features a large plasma television screen with satellite connectivity and a collection of assorted DVD's. A footie table is available for you to enjoy as well. The Habaraduwa House is well staffed while they are always attentive to your needs during your stay.

Excursions and Day Tours from Habaraduwa House, Galle 

An escorted bike ride can be arranged for guests to explore the southern country. Also if you want to explore the Galle Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is just 15 minutes away. There are museums, churches, historical landmarks, shops and restaurants within the fort that you can explore. For the true adventurer, the South brings you the opportunity to enjoy a plethora of water sports including water skiing and scuba diving. The beaches of Unawatuna, Ahangama and Mirissa are some of the most picturesque. Whale Watching expeditions can be enjoyed during the season off the coast of Mirissa. A relaxing boat ride which includes a few stopovers at a temple and a spice garden can also be arranged.
