About Cadjan earth, Anamaduwa
Immerse yourself in tranquility-Cadjan Earth is set amidst 100 acres of mature trees- margosa, tamarind, mango-man made lakes, and vegetable plantation. Off the beaten tourist path in little visited Anamaduwa but just two and a half hours from Colombo step into a slice of rural Sri Lankan life. The entire space, from the lake to to the tree villas, trails and viewing points from which you can spot over 100 species of birds, butterflies and dragonflies has been crafted with relaxation in mind and from every point of the two villas you see nothing but the wilderness.
Both the lake villa and tree house were created using traditional materials and techniques-clay, wood and our signature woven cadjan-coconut thatch. But within the cool clay walls you'll find modern comforts-plunge pools and fans and, unlikely as it sounds, you wont need them! The breeze flowing under our gently sloping roof and wafting through the porous clay will be more than sufficient. And there's no better entertainment than the sites and sounds of nature.
