» Location

Located in Bentota, the peaceful seaside hamlet on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka, and just 1½ hours drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport, the Bentota Aida Ayurveda Hotel is built on the banks of the breathtaking Bentota River and is within walking distance of the Bentota Beach.

» Accommodation

There are 16 guestrooms in the main Bentota Aida Ayurveda Hotel, with a further six by the river on the garden floor of the adjoining Bentota Aida Restaurant Pavilions. Adjoining the guest rooms is the modern Ayurvedic Health Centre with a private consultation room, 12 treatment rooms, 4 pavilions for flower and herbal baths, and a Sauna fired by fragrant herbal woods.

The hotel’s gallery restaurant is reserved exclusively for hotel residents. Delicious vegetarian and Ayurvedic dishes are available on the full board menu. For a la carte meals, Aida’s Restaurant adjoining the hotel and overlooking the Bentota River, specializes in seafood and international cuisine. It is open to residents and their guests, and to non residents.

The Lagoon View wing is the latest addition to the Resort. Nestled on the banks of the river and facing the lagoon, the new wing boasts of 19 super deluxe rooms with spectacular views. On any clear day, one could observe the distant mountain ranges of the interior namely the imposing Adam’s Peak.

» Facilities

Ayurveda Sauna
The Ayurveda Herbal- Sauna was built according to scriptures which are 2,500 years old. It is built medium sized without windows. The inner plaster is mixed of worthy herbal ingredients such as; bee honey, surface from ant-hill, bitter herbs and powder of Sandalwood. The ground is covered with a selection of various herbs, and is heated with healing wood which have a great healing power.

A large open-air swimming pool with adjacent Jacuzzi pool lies between the gallery restaurant and a tiered garden. An open-air amphitheater, a yoga center and private terraces for meditation are contained within the hotel. The herbal-Sauna is heated with healing wood, which gives a constant warmth.
Everybody who enters this herbal Sauna and takes care of the rules, gets the healing power from the warmth and the herbal steam.
